The Eternal Glory park is situated at the crossing of January revolt Street, Suvoroff Street and Dniper spusk. In 1957 the obelisk - the Eternal Glory Monument on the Grave of Unknown Soldier is erected (the architects A. M. Miletsky, V. V. Baklanoff and L. V. Novikoff). The height of the obelisk is 7 meters. The Grave of Unknown Soldier is situated at the bottom of the obelisk. The Eternal Fire lights under the grave. The wide alley tends to the monument. 34 tombs of the soldiers died in the battles for their Motherland are set on the both sides of this alley. There are tombs of the heroes of the battle for Kiev among the tombs. The alley tends to the famous Vladimirskaya Square of the 18th century. The square has been named Glory Square since 1965.
