On the left bank of the Dniper River Rusanovka housing-estate
is situated opposite Hydropark. In this place the ravine that
belonged to Kiev monasteries was situated in ancient times.
According to the documents of the 16-17th centuries the ravine
was named “Rusanovsky soil”. Appertained to Kiev district the
village Rusanovka was situated on the ravine. General building
up of this territory was organized in 1961-1974. The territory
for building was paned out with sand according to the height
that was enough to preserve the district from submergence during
spring flows. Channels of Rusanovsky bay and specially made
bypass canal were used as full gallop for panning out. The bypass
canal and its fountains form special, appropriate to Rusanovka
only panorama. Rusanovka has another name – Kiev Venice. . |
