Epiphany celebration in Hydropark

Epiphany. This orthodox holiday is also called Appearing of God. Epiphany is celebrated on the 19th of January. In this day Christ came to Jordan River to become christen by Johann Predtecha. Particularities of Epiphany celebration are two big water-consecrations. The first great water-consecration takes place in the air near rivers, ponds, lakes. It is considered that those who swam in such water purify themselves spiritually and physically. Many if Kievites swim in Dniper waters on this day.
